Expanded Driver Training Program

At All Care Driving School, we understand that not every driver learns the same way or at the same pace. That’s why we developed the Expanded Driver Training Program—a comprehensive, hands-on course designed for adults over 18 who may need additional time, support, and practice to become confident and capable drivers.

This program is open to the general public and welcomes students of all abilities, with a curriculum that goes beyond traditional instruction to address common roadblocks such as hand-eye coordination, nervousness, and directional awareness.

A More Personalized Learning Experience

Our classes are intentionally small (no more than 6 students), offering a more personalized, one-on-one instructional environment. The program is broken into three progressive stages to ensure comfort, comprehension, and confidence at each level.

Program Structure

1. Permit Preparation

Duration: 6 weeks
Format: Once a week for 1 hour
Focus: Learning and understanding the NYS Driver’s Manual with an emphasis on comprehension

2. Driving Simulator

Duration: 6 weeks
Format: Once a week for 45 minutes
Focus: Develops critical skills like comprehension, hand-eye coordination, and following verbal directions in a controlled environment

3. Behind-the-Wheel Training

Lessons: 10 private in-car sessions
Session Length: 45 minutes each
Instructor: NYS-certified driving instructor
Safety: All vehicles equipped with a second brake for instructor control
